Distance and time from SF De Macoris

I will be in San Francisco De Macoris for a week visiting my wifes family.
We are going to spend an additional week in either Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. How long does it take to get from POP from SFDM and how long does it take to get to Punta Cana from SFDM by car.

It really depends on the route you take.
If you take the main highways from SFDM to POP, it might take you 2 hours, 15 minutes, or through a shortcut, a bit less than 2 hours. (add more, if you don't drive as fast as I do).
SDFM to Punta Cana might take you 5 1/2 hours. (driving fast).
