To get your question in perspective it would be more appropriate if you rephrased it, asking for a complete guide of the Dominican Republic, as your route covers a large portion of the island.
What you are doing is the real way to get to know the island. There are so many people who visit resorts, stay there two weeks and think that they intimately know the Dominican Republic. When you leave the resorts is when the fun really starts and you can see what a great country this really is.
