Best time in the year to buy cheap tickets to STI

im just curious to know when is the best time in the year to buy cheap tickets to go to Santiago international. Grateful for any tips and advise

From the second week of September to the second week of November. Right now, the prices from the NY area to STI are less than $300/round trip.

skipping thanksgiving, you can actually stretch it to the second week of December.

I am guessing not--I think they only go to Santo Domingo. But I want to come down pronto. Where should I look?

Joshua R, I agree with Ricardo900's and Hipocrito Mejia assessment. The least expensive flights are from September 15th-December 14th, excluding Thanksgiving (US) week.

I'm not sure where you are traveling from, but American seems to offer their last minute specials on the MIA-STI route quite frequently.

JFK - STI or even JFK - POP.i cant seem to find tickets less than USD$400 and i've tried everywhere:ermm:

All of Sep - Oct on AMR is $316 nonstop JFK-STI-JFK, including tax!
Did you search AA.com? (I found this on one search FYI)

POP is more expensive, $450, including tax and no direct flights. No wonder there are so many threads asking for directions from Santiago airport to the north coast.

Check the Delta site. They are offering STI for US$99 (plus taxes and airport & security charges).

a one-way fare, so for RT it will be $198 plus taxes, etc. The "bottom line" is gunna be somewhere around $315.

The cheapest I've paid with Delta was $278 all taxes included. This was in May of 2005.
