Cabarete Beach reconstruction???

I'm planning a holiday in Cabarete from 27 august untill 10 september. I understand the beach is under construction. Can anyone tell how it looks? Can you use the beach? Are works on the beach planned in my holiday period? I'm a little concerned reading about the lond beach reconstruction.....:ermm: Maybe I just shouldn't go....:disappoin
