Hi,
I would appreciate your opinion about a potential investment I am
considering in Las Terrenas. I am looking at investing in a new project
called Jardines de Coson which will be located 2 kilometers from the
center of Las Terrenas on Coson Bay. The development will be a
mixture of condos, studios and villas in a gated community. The condos
and studios are all sold out and I have an option to buy a studio and am waitlisted for a condo. My questions are as follows:

1) Would a 1 bedroom condo rent out better than a studio?
2) Do you see any value to owning 1800 sq. ft. of land with the studio?
(Only a few studios have land with them and none of the condos have
land with them).
3) Would people be interested in renting a studio that does not face the
water or pool but faces into a coconut field?
4) How challenging do you think it will be to re-sell the studio in 5 yrs?

Thanks for your help. I am a new investor and this opportunity was just presented to me in DR. I like what I have read about the potential future of DR.

You ask some great questions, and any answer I could give you would just be conjecture or a wild guess.
The real difference will be how good a location it is and how well it is & will be managed.
Maybe there's a DR1 member out that way who has the inside scoop on the place.
Hope so.

Thanks!!!

Thanks Rocky,

I'm hopeful someone knows about this new mini resort and can shed some light on a studio vs condo concept.

Have a great weekend!!!
