American with DR Passport

I have a question. I heard that a US citizen whos parents were dominican could get a DR passport. Is this true? my friend is thinking about going to Cuba but cant obiously show the us passport. If it can be done whats the price?

Ya......he can show a US passport and the comrades won't stamp his passport..no worries..

From the legal section;

US born children who have a Dominican parent have the option of acquiring Dominican citizenship once they are 18 years old. The person would then be both an American and a Dominican.
