I haven't posted here much, just to get some genealogy help. But in my posts I did mention that my DH didn't want to bring me to the DR due to "safety issues" and he hasn't been since he was 17..but guess what? We have a chunk of time in the fall to used and the DR was the lucky winner. :cheeky:
So..here's the deal...we have no idea where we want to visit. DH grew up in SD but doesn't want to go there. We're traveling with kids (13 & 9) and don't really want to do the "all inclusive" thing. I'm thinking the north coast. A charming hotel within walking distance of restaurants or a self catering setup.
Also..since he's Dominican is there any chance of getting a better rate than a touristy one?
