Cabarete to Rio San Juan...road condition?

Fine, no nightmare if you drive it in the daytime.

I made this trip a few days ago, and have had no problems sleeping as a result. There are a couple of stretches that have been repaved, but also some that are still pretty rough. I agree that the best thing is to make the trip in daylight so you can see the bad spots in time to slow down or avoid them.
