The best-known hike in the Saman? area is to Salto El Lim?n, a moderately easy trek to a lovely waterfall.

Guariquen, a community tourism project in Las Galeras have a number of signposted eco-trails to beauty spots in the area. They can provide guides as well.

The CEBSE site generally is also a good source of information.

We hiked El Limon last week. It had rained a lot up there, and the guides convinced us to go by horseback instead of walking. They were right-mud was knee deep in several areas getting to the falls; folks we passed who were coming back were covered in mud, head to toe. The hike from the top to bottom of the falls was easy. The hike back up was rigorous, but enjoyable.
