Options for getting to Santiago from SDQ..

What are the best options on getting from Santo Domingo to Santiago? I would like to know the est. fares and time it takes to make the trip.

Taxi or Bus?

Either Caribe Tours or Metro would be good choices. Caribe Tours as at least one bus each hour from early morning until in the evening from SD to Santiago. Cost is about RD$200 and time is about 2.5 hours.

Bus is your best option. Taxi will cost you over $100.

How far is the Metro terminal from SDQ? And how much should I pay in taxi fare to get to the terminal?

Unfortunately SDQ airport is closer to Boca Chica than Santo Domingo. The bus terminals are about 30-45 minutes from the airport away and a taxi costs about $30US.

whats wrong with the old thumb sticking up,while standing on the side of the road.....it worked great in the sixties in america..........

if need be make up a cardboard sign..."santo domingo or bust"

on second thought skip that logo...I think the odds favor bust.

maybe you should listen to Rick instead.
