I wrote down the name of a movie (takes place in DR) and lost the paper. Had limited play in theaters. DVD is out on it. Probably no more tha 2 years old.Think the first word of title began with a "L".

I'm guessing "La Maldicion del Padre Carmona" starring Zoe Saldana.

There was a film around that time starring Selma Hayeck and took place during the Trujillo regime. Believe it was called A time of the Butterflies or something like that. Singer Marc Anthony made an appearance as well.

The movie is called "In the Time of the Butterflies". It is based on the life of the hermanas Mirabal.
