Whale watching

We'll be in Las terrenas in February; is it a good time to go whale watching? we should we go to board a boat and how much will it cost? Thank you

February is a good time to whale watch,though the whales start going home in droves in mid-February. The best place to book a whale tour with is:

a) Either directly with Victoria Marine Tours in the city of Samana, telephone 809/538-2588; or

b) with one of the tour operators in Las Terrenas, like Sunshine Tours (unfortunately I don't have their telephone number on me.
