My father passed recently and left no will. He was separated from my mother for many years. I have a half sister ( with a Dominican mother) who claims my father divorced my mother in DR and that she has a copy of decree. My mother has never signed any documents agreeing to divorce, has never been notified, seen a divorce decree etc. or has any knowledge of a divorce. Could this decree be legal if my mother never consented/signed to a divorce?
