Does Dominican women have any special preferences from a guy?
Other than money and looks and personality?
Are there any racism in the culture that might hinder them from going for
guys in another skin color?

And if Dominican lives/works in the US, is that person considered living
in a higher social standards?

Just curious...

No offense but don't you think your questions are a bit odd? I honestly would research these forums and then "rethink" your question - you have a lot to learn pal.

Skin color does play a role in Dominican culture. The common belief is that if you're light in complexion you will have advantages in life. However, when money and opportunity come in to play, skin color goes out the window. Just remember green is almost always KING!

why do you ask?

Does Dominican women have any special preferences from a guy?Dominican women are like women of any other culture, They want to have a man that they can trust and a man that provides them security for them and their children.
Other than money and looks and personality?Money is always a good thing but not nessesarily the most important thing.
Are there any racism in the culture that might hinder them from going for
guys in another skin color? Not to sound racist or anything but most dominicans evendarker dominicans would chose a lighter skinned man if all the other options were equal.

And if Dominican lives/works in the US, is that person considered living
in a higher social standards?
Hell YES, All of us in the USA or in other countries are thought of as rich. Not true but many dominicans believe life outside of the DR is very easy and money easy to come by.

It depends where you keep that large bulge.
If properly and strategically located, it can make all the difference.

i thought he was talking about belly bulge's.:)
judging by what i've seen since vacationing in the DR i can't say i've seen a particular kind of guy standing out above the rest except for the older guy/young dominican. that leads me to believe that "stability" or the image of stability is the key. most people worldwide always want to better themselves and dominican women are no different.
let me also add that american attitudes (i'm from the usa) don't bode well in dominican culture. you know the "ugly american". i'm quiet, always williing to learn, and am very attentive to the chicas i meet which i can say does me well in the DR.
when in Rome do like the Romans always works best....

Maybe you don't know women. Some questions makes one go erm  Why do think all Dominican women would have the same preferences in men? Do all women in NA and Europe have the same preferences? erm

clarification

ok...
my questions might have seem odd
the reason for my questions were,
because i live in US, and I have encountered with many
Dominican women

Seems very hard to get close to them, almost as if they
don't want to assimilate to the US culture(hence the racism question)

Also, most women are married to older, rather unattractive men,
which brings me to ask, what is it they look for in a man

As you can see, you can't just say all women and men
are the same all over the world, because clearly there ARE some differences,
some positive, some negative.

I also don't understand the marriage issue,

one example, I am/was interested in a lady who says she has a husband in
DR(people say he's rich), but he actually has another/real family in DR.

Should I actually hold back on approaching her, because she has a husband
in DR who comes to see her every 2/3 months and has another wife?
I don't feel guilty at all, and I don't think she should use that as an excuse
to not want to get with me.

Maybe this question would be better answered by Dear Abby or Doctor Ruth, than DR1.
