Does anyone have aan estimate of the fare price for a taxi from the santiago airport to the hotel Platino?

I'd say about 400 pesos.

Actually, I usually have one of my friends pick me up. However on my last trip, I took a cab to the airport and if I remember correctly that was what I paid. So $400 RD is about right, give or take a few pesos.

But, is there another ways to get to the airport in Santiago. Can I take any guagua and exit on la Carretera duarte somewhere near of airport?

Where I can catch that guaguas?

I suppose you could, but it would be a long walk from there with all your luggage. Hope you're in shape.

It is cheaper form Santiago to the airport than from the airport to Santiago.

Call 809 581 3000 and have them pick you up....

Airport to Santiago is about RD$400-RD$450...especially to Hotel Platino.

come on richard....if he ever has to take a motoconcho...what better place to take that ride than from Rte 1 to the airport....3/4 of a mile of flat ,wide open ,divided highway, cement curbs on both sides...with nary a herd of cows or horses, and few if any dogs.....
