hi there,

i am looking for information in regards to recieving liquidation from an employer in solely com. based job. i would like to now what the rules are and how that is paid out? as well am i entitled to bonification and holiday pay?

Lastly... i have heard many different answers to this, i m hoping to get the right one. Is a person still entitled to liquidation if they quit or is it only for those getting fired. i have heard answers ranging from...you get nothing, to getting 80% to getting only holiday pay.
Can someone please varify the right answer and of course if its necessary to drag a lawyer into the matter.
thanking in advance.

Please read our sticky post on labor matters above.

If you quit, you are not entitled to liquidation but you will be entitled to a portion of your Christmas Salary and vacation.

If you're fired without cause, you will be entitled to full liquidation.

If you're fired for cause and the cause is proven in Court, you will not get any liquidation, but again, you will be entitled to a portion of your Xmas Salary and vacation pay.
