This weeks 'From Our Own Correspondent' includes an interesting piece from a reporter who catches the bus into Haiti. No more than a passing mention of DR but talking about how Bush's policy of emptying US prisons by sending Haitian criminals back has obvious parallels with DR. The programme is put on line after the radio programme has finished, so you can listen from any time soon if you are interested. (I liked the comment that the UN Peace Keepers are locally known as "tourists" because of their lack of local knowledge!)
