Hi everyone,
I think my question is a little one. I hope so. (But when it come to the Visas it is never a little question, right?) The question is concerning a Visa for Study in the United States. I have been informed the process goes like this:
1. I apply to the university. This application includes the paper of guarantee support of someone to be my sponser in the united states, and cover the cost of the university and daily life, food, medicine.
2. If I am accept to the university for study I will receive papers to complete and bring to my date with the consulate with other papers.
3. I call for my date with the consulate to obtain a Study Visa.
This is what I understand. What I want to know is if I can be negative on getting my Visa for study even if the university in the United States gives me the acceptance. I hope that with acceptance to the university and my papers of support that I will have in the United States I will be granted my Visa to study in the university. I have worked very hard a long time for this and I very much want to study in the united states and know what living there and maybe work and then return someday to my country,I just want to know if I have acceptance to university if they can say no to me.
I am also feeling nervous about this because I was recently denied a Visa for visit/travel to the United States, the reason being the insufficient evidence that I would return to Dominican Republic. Because I am young I do not have a lot of money, I do not have property, I am from the country,so they said, well, she will probably just want to stay in the United States. I had enough money for a visit I just wanted to see, but they told me no. Will this effect my situation now? Can they say no, if I have the financial support and acceptance to the university? I am so nervous, I have work so much for this, studying english, I very much want to go, but I don't want to be so hopeful to get some ugly face tell me no, one more time.
