Santo Domingo to Isla Saona

I would appreciate any info about the best way to go from Santo Domingo to Isla Saona. What bus company/taxi service will get me there and how long will it take to go by bus from SD to bayahibe and then by boat to Isla Saona? Do I need to call ahead of time to arrange for a boat ride to Isla Saona or can I just go and find one when I get there? Can I make it a one day trip if I leave early in the morning and return at night? What part of town is the bus stop at in Santo Domingo?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest going with an agency. They pick you up with a guide, lunch, drinks all day and bring you back around 7pm. US$75/pers. If you want a number let me know.
