On my recent trip I spoke briefly with a Dominican dive instructor and another worker who operates their boat. He mentioned that there is not a lot of work for them and other beach workers in the DR...and that he'd heard from peers that there are contract jobs for Dominicans in Cuba and he was considering looking into it.
Now I know that Cuba's peso is on par with the US dollar, but I didn't think it would be that easy for a Dominican or anyone for that matter, to find work in Cuba...Has anyone else heard of this?
