    Hey laurapausinifan, BOB!!!

    how are you? any suggestions on maps? I am also trying to download a map into my TomTom GPS but am having a difficult time.
    I tried those different links but didnt get anywhere.

    Own a smartphone? Use Google Maps...

    I am well!!, how about yourself?? sooo you need a map ha ha, I don't know TOM TOM, I have a few Garmins...but truthfully here in the US, I just use my phone like Caribe says!!...it doesn't talk to me...but it is pretty accurate. can we ask where ya heading?? I like driving down those way back roads and the kids just stared with their mouth open , like they saw a dinasour!! ha ha ha

    that is true...a tom tom will have the info needed( if you get it installed) and as long as you can aquire the satelites you should be good to go!!

    I had thought garmin updated its maps automatically.....

    I looked into this..... the first update is free
    My purchase was July 2012 and it works beautifully.... Garmin compatible.

    No satellite problems

    and my Sirius/XM works well too in the car

    Map updates are automatic but you need to connect to the internet ... they don't 'beam' it to you in your car
