Boca de Yuma

Anyone out there gone to Boca de Yuma recently. My family is orginally from there and I want to visit when I go to Punta Cana in a few days.

It has been 15 years since I have been there and I heard this area was badly damaged by hurricanes.

Just wanting to know what to expect and if there is anything I should be sure to do while I am there.

This is the place where Higueyanos and Romaneros go to spend their Sundays, drink, have fun, and eat fish. Also some new big $$$ construction (houses) along the coast. Nice to go on Sundays but not much to do the other days.

Haven't been for a couple of years but really enjoyed it last time I was there.
Yes, lots of damage however new construction is now being done and I think we need to go again soon!
