Bus: Santiago -> Las Terrenas

is there a bus from santiago to Las Terrenas?
do u know the departure times FROM santiago?
do u know where to find this bus?

we arrive saturday in satiago at 11AM, 14Apr2007.

we could be interested in sharing a taxi if anyone else is arriving at approximately the same time.

From what I read on this borad when doing my investigation few weeks back, there is no direct bus service from Santiago or from any other place for that reason to Las Terrenas.

This is, basically, what I read here on DR1:

Take Caribe Tours (from Santiago or from Santo Domingo) to Samana.
Get off at the Las Terranas crossroad. there are pick-up trucks (local bus service) waiting for these Caribe Tours buses to arrive, to haul passengers to Las Terrenas.

Other option is to take a taxi.
