I know this means "how much" and appears to be the favorite of Dominicans when it comes to asking about the price of something but have a couple of questions.

1. Can "A como es" be used as well?

2. What would be the second most common phrase for asking the price - "cuanto es" maybe?

Thanks

A curt Cuanto? es enough. Once you obtain a price, then you say (also curtly) Acot?jame el precio, que voy a pagar al contado y no necesito una factura!

"?A c?mo es?" can be used as well (singular):
?A c?mo es la libra? (el quintal, la docena, etc.)

Other expressions:
?Cu?nto cuesta/n)?
?A c?mo (cu?nto) est?n los huevos?
?Cu?l es el precio?
?Cu?nto pide por esto?
?Qu? vale (la libra, la docena, esto?
?Cu?nto vale/n?
