Si senor, it was; looks like an old lifeguard stand or something. But those sophisticated antennaes I'm sure made it all work out very well! I give 'em credit for their efforts. New terminal looks kinda nice, given its location. Utilitarian it is.

no joke...great little airport and only 25 min from la capital...my friend flies for a travel co and I go frequently there as I have a small house in el limon...

cross the runway to road and get guagua to el limon for 25 pesos...

See this in perspective. Compared to what existed there, the new tower and terminal look quite nice.

It's not flashy or architecturally inspiring or anything along those lines, but it is nice.

You should see the "airport" in Monte Cristi, if it can be called that at all. The "runway" is unbelieveable before, during, and after landing/departing from such place!

Or compare it to the "airport" in Cabo Rojo, Perdernales. Now that is an "airport" worth criticizing!
