Okay, some basic questions about the market and where you might think it may be in the new year.

I am referring to the North Coast area of Sosua.

Is anyone having any luck with 'fixer upers' and re-sale? My impression is it may take about a year to sell - don't know why but have the idea that homes just don't flip that fast here. Am I correct in thinking so?

After re-sale with the capital gains at 25%, cost of home, repairs, and such is it a worthwhile venture? Given of course the usual variables of location, price, etc.

Thoughts?

My sense ... overproduction currently - in the DR North Coast. So your 1 year may stretch out a little. But in the DR, prices don't go down. Overall compared to the Caribbean Islands, property is still underpriced.
