He still will not make the Hall of Fame. There is no reason to follow this guys career anymore. Stick a fork in him. He will be traded by the trading deadline. Double or nothing on the Presidente Chip?

Here's Sammy's stats as of 06/20/07, and remember he was "hot" early.

Games Played - 61
BA - .242
AB - 232
HR - 11
RBI - 51
BB - 18
K - 67

Like Bonds in the USA, there will be much much better candidates for the DR to shower praise on than this dude. The most hollow 600 HRs in history, and EVERYBODY knows it.

congrats for "Granny" Sosa. 700 ? are you kidding me ? the only way he'll hit 700 is from the grave. i'd put my money on A-Rod, Albert Pujols, or Vlad G. doing 700 when the time comes.

As a former fan of Sosa (lost interest after new Dominican talent), I still like him and everything...but everything toneloc says is right. Sosa is washed up. He should retire and use his rubber/corked/whatever bats to mash up platanos to make mangu in his big mansion here in DR, lol.
