i'm not sure this even belongs here but a guy told me about this site where you can confirm a cedula number of a girl you are with. i don't know why you would need to or what purpose but here is the site.

Citizens Only ?

It only seems to work with citizens, and not those holding residence cards.

Citizens only on the data base. It is for those registered to vote.

It is the same thing Orange has. If a Dominican goes to Orange dealer to activate a phone (even a prepaid card) the same picture and data comes up. I asked, they said they had it from JCE. I thought they had some special agreement. Now it looks like that maybe they just parse their website

I don't know if they use a different site, but mine (permanent resident, non-voter) comes up when the banks use it when verifying my identity for a simple transaction like cashing a cheque. Creepy is the word - to think that people's details are right there in the public domain!

Chiri, yes the JCE site says it is padr?n electoral, designed for people to check where they vote etc. So it has only DR citizens?info, not residents?.
