Hello Everybody.....

Right now i`m watching the live unveiling of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner which is to replace a couple of boeing products like the 767.

I post this because there are rumors (check airliners.net) that this aircraft in its 787-300 variant will be ordered by American Airlines to replace the 34 A300-605R in its fleet, which are the plane of choice for AA to get us Dominicanos from NY to DR.

Well i hope this is not too much of the topic of being from DR but i thought you guys wanted to know.

Thats very nice but I really doubt that American Airlines will put 787 on the market. In my opinion what is most likely to happen is that they will give the route the 757 and 767 which are currently in use and those routes that are using those planes will be the ones that will get the 787. Hopefully I am wrong.

I am sure the sti-jfk route will get the new planes as soon as December 2037.

What other aircraft does AA currently have on their fleet?

The JFK-DR routes are definately not getting those new birds, so we have to see what other aircraft they have to choose from. I also don't see them using the 767s to DR.

Ok, I just found the info on AA's website. It looks like they don't have any aircraft in their fleet that can match the number of seats in the A300s. Very interesting!
