My questions is how to transfer property ownership from my dad (house in Santiago) to my sister in New York City. My dad is now a widower for over a year and he already has another women before he goes off and gets married again we (my sister and I) want to make sure that she gets ownership of the house her mom worked so hard for when she was alive. My dad says he'll put the house in my sisters name but talk is cheap he is currently in Santiago with his new girl in the house and will be back in a couple of months does my sister need to travel to Dominican Republic to get the property transfered to her name or can she get that done with him here in New York City in the Dominican Consulate (tried calling them no response). Please let me know, the home is in Santiago, Batioa.
