Beach Parties Or Raves

Hello everyone I'm new to the site and I'm trying to find info on all night beach parties or raves taking place in the south. I will be visiting D.R. starting August 31 till September 17. If there are any taking place during this time, when and where?......leagal or illegal?

Not so worried about the legality part!

Change your travel plans and go elsewhere or keep your nose clean while you're here.

Wrong country dude! You should have done your research! You want Thailand - Ko Pang Nan.....been there, done that....it was good at the time! However, now I'm a responsible mother of two I've chosen to live in the DR where I suggest you DO NOT get involved in anything illegal if you want to use the return portion of your ticket! ;)

Sharlene, he said he wasnt worried about the legalities, so let him find out the hard way, as a guest of Miguel, the head of the DR prison service - wonderful breakfasts served by the way:cheeky:

Guys I din't mean i'm trying to get into trouble, i just wanna go to a rave maybe even on a beach. I heard there are even hotels which host these events....carribean sun?...does that ring a bell for anyone? Raves are hard to find here in the states and i would like to experience one first hand, I just don't know if they're legal or not. Thats why i mentioned the whole thing about "legalities". I'm not trying to find drugs or anything like that!

BTW. I have family in San Pedro but they're all much much older.

Raves = Drugs
Drugs = Many many years in prison
Prison in DR = Sore bum and empty belly

Well, it is night time, you know.....;)

I have no idea.
Even Googled it for you and found nothing.
Maybe you could take the advice given and change your plans for this trip.
Get skunk drunk everyday with our world class rhum, get a chica to keep you company, bathe in the warm tropical seas, lounge around for hours on end on beautiful beaches drinking Pina Coladas.
You know.. Take the best that the country has to offer, instead of trying to extract something out of it, that it doesn't want to give.

Juan Dolio - Dominican Republic (DR1)
There is nightlife primarily at the hotels but this is not what you would call a “party hearty” destination. Take time out to visit the many restaurants in the area and mingle with the crowd that lives there or commutes in from Santo Domingo, especially on weekends. Drive 20 minutes, and you are at Caribbean Sun restaurant with lively night life, especially on Saturdays.

The outof- the-ordinary bar/restaurant Aura, with its Asian-style lounges right in the middle of Juan Dolio Beach, and Caribbean Sun at Playa Caribe where beach fun is extended well into the evening deserve special mentions. There are also hotel casinos and a smattering of discos in the area.

The curfew 'may' have put an end to many of the Raves. Not sure midnight or 2 a.m. cut-offs work that well for the young party all night crowd.
