Hello,

Are there any tour operators doing tours to Lago Enriquillo and/or Isla Cabritos? If so, is it better to spend the night somewhere close to there or can it be done so that we can go and come back home the same day? From SD.

Other alternatives to go there and back are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

It would depend where you are based.
Barahona is rather far from most tourist destinations.
From what I understand, people go to the area, go to the lake, find someone to tour them around (boat ride) and spend the night in Barahona or nearby.

Lago Enriquillo tours

Saludos!
Eco Tours located in Paraiso has a tour to Lago Enriquillo. Their phone number is 809-243-1190. They have a website too at Eco-Tour Barahona - Our ecologic trek : the coffee trail - Charco Blanco.
I did the tour with them this past July-you can see my photos here at DR1 at http://www.dr1.com/media/showgallery.php/cat/505 and my trip report at http://www.dr1.com/forums/trip-repo...uco-lago-enriquillo-bahia-de-las-aguilas.html.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
