Internet/electricity problems ?

Does anyone know if there are electricity problems in the Boca Chica area? I have tried for weeks to contact a friend via internet and had no response.

I have a home in Boca Chica. I was there for the last two weeks of August and the power didn't go out once in that time. I don't know about after Sept. 1st.

in Boca Chica proper or the surrounding barrios? i understand that frequent and lengthy blackouts are still normal in the barrios.

Monkey, Yes, the power had been out for two full days, I think this past Monday and Tuesday, not sure if its back on untill I talk to family tonight.

I was there the previous week, 3-10 of Sept. There were no outages at all while I was there.
