I don't have any news... I was swimming there yesterday morning... Nothing has changed so far...
I wouldn't be surprised however to see the start of a touristic project, since the whole Las Terrenas area is booming so much... A dominican owner would never renounce anything...
As of the Fishermen's village, same thing. Business as usual. Restaurants are getting ready for the season, and the word is that it will be huge... Time will tell...

Incidentally, I've seen several "beach front projects" popping up in between LT and La Barbacoa. Clearing trees, brush, putting extending the beach etc. This could get VERY interesting VERY soon.
