I'm learning that there is a different price for eash of us. My wife and I paid 2,500 USD for 2 people. Plus another 6,000 pesos plus a pair of blue jeans (1,00 pesos) , Strange huh? Oh and it took 1 year.

We went to SD and did the blood and urine tests at the immigration centre and they then gave us the receipts of application and instructions of where to go for the x-rays. We then lodged these papers with a lawyer and it took just over 9 months for the temporary 1 year cedular and residencia to come through and cost us US$900 each. They followed up the progress and then escorted us to the various department offices to have the photo's and details confirmed and cards issued, if there were any further fees then these came out of the sum we paid the lawyer. Then of course, its got to be done all over again in a years time!!!

I did all myself for $400 for my wife and I. But it was the most difficult thing I have ever done and made me loose all my hair.

with my lawyer Miledys Dominguez it costs actually 25.000.- pesos($800.-US) including the fees for medical exams aso.
takes around 4 months to be finished, but that time can expand i.e. for upcoming elections next may aso.
she companies you throu the whole process, you need to travel to St Dgo only twice for all, at the first day you sign the papers, do the med's/x-ray aso, 2nd visit is when all get's finished to shoot the pictures and receive cedular and residency card.
she can be contacted on Miledys.5@hotmail.com

Pm me if you want. We had a lawyer in Santiago do it for us from soup to nuts for $800 per person. It may have increases slightly recently, but it was an excellent job and done in 3 months.
