It all depends on what type of clothing he brings in. There are plenty of places where you can buy clothing wholesale in the US, but you would need to either have someone you trust watch the store for you while you are in away or have someone buy the stuff for you and send it to you in the DR.

If you already know what type of clothing you will be selling and where you will be purchasing it, there is no reason why you can't get this enterprise off the ground.

But you need to discuss more about your status-do you live in the DR?

Where will you be getting the clothing from?

Do you know how you will be shipping the clothing to the DR and what the costs will be?

Do you have an idea about where the clothing shop will be located?

Well my friend lives in Laromana and I live in boston
So would like to do it in Laromana ..Would imagine to rent
alittle store there would be so cheap.. Just basic US ckothes hat and shoes
he even sells them perfume almost anything from this country they go crazy
He visits me like 5 times a yr each time he bring suitcase full of cloths
and sells every bit of it!! And I know of a place that ships there any time..
What would I have to lose ? A small store may only cost $200 a month to rent there?

You will have no problems selling what you bring in. The issue will be getting enough supply into the store on a regular basis. If I was in that area I would be a regular customer.

In Puerto Plata, I frequent 3 different stores like this on a regular basis. When they go back to the U.S. for stock they look for specific things for me as well.

Again their issue is getting enough stock. So find more people you trust to bring stock in as well.

I've been in Puerto Plata over 4 years now.

What I like and what it seems the customers of these type of stores want - quality, designer labels, quality labels, exclusivity - not 50 shirts all the same, maybe only 3 of each available, decent prices but we are generally willing to pay more then other stores.

I will also send you an email or PM.....
