Wow, I looked at all the pictures of the flooding and washed out roads near Santiago after this last storm. I'm supposed to be going by bus from Puerto Plata to Santo Domingo next Tuesday but I've never made that trip before. Does anyone know if the road going to SD is one of the ones I saw washed out? If so I guess I won't be venturing that way. I'm pretty nervous about taking that trip anyway with the possibility of mud slides and worse until all that rain dries up!!!!
