It's each way !!! Fares have been in $200's for some time now (round trip)

I hate when airlines post one way fares !

I saw a posting of Jet Blue JFK to POP for $198 round trip but travel must be completed by Feb 13th I think. It wasn't clear whether this was including taxes, etc. So I went to their site and put in dates prior to Feb 13th and it came in at $297.00. Still not too bad.

I'm looking for specials to go in March if anyone seems them from Newark or JFK to POP.

for some reason jet blue's advertized fares come out to be a lot more than other airlines after all the fees and taxes.

I do pretty well with continental out of newark (non stop) to sdq. From mid jan till march they are currently running 220 round trip (pre fees and taxes)....still not bad.

my first visit to samana - El Catey airport

I am in London for the moment, would like to visit the samana area...So far not able to find a direct flight to El Catey airport from London.
Options : London JFK or EWR then connect to Santo Domingo or El Catey....
Any suggestions from the regular travellers. I have been reading some of your threads, I hear you JFK flights to Santo Domingo are always full....I would be on standby when arriving in New York...what are my chances to get a flight without prior reservation...

January 28th till february 10th

there is a connection from San Juan to AZS. AA 5046 departs at 1:45 p.m (a prop plane)
and on the return end AA 5047 departs at 3:45 p.m.....

i booked for 1/31 and got a price of 178/rt came out to $305 with taxes. i booked about 10 days in advance.

I am going to Santiago on Feb 21 from NY and the best rate i have found thusfar was $440 Continental leaving from Newark direct. I checked expedia, cheaptickets, & jetblu. Not looking for layovers.
