offical birth doc. in Santiago

I have the official birth document for the teenager who lives under my husband and my supervision and need to get another offical/original copy for his school ...I don't want to give them to only original that we have and they said a regular copy isn't good enough for his file.

Where in Santiago can I go to get this (address) and will it be processed in 1 day or how long should I expect it to take?

Thanks for any/all info!

It depends on where he was born and where he was "declared" ...there are three "circumscripciones" in Santiago. i believe that two of them are now located in the Electoral Board, and one in another location.
Get me the data off the original you have and I can steer you towards the right place...
It is a pretty straight forward process.

declared in Santiago ...do you know the address ...I am heading in tomorrow and possibly again next weekend ...are they open Saturdays?
