I would forget the Hard Rock Cafe.
Ask any taxi driver to take you to Trio Cafe on Lincoln.
MiTaverna is almost next door and easy to find.
It's about a 20 min cab ride from the Colonial Zone.
MiTaverna is a fun place. Forget the Hard Rock and the Champions Sports bar in the Jarauga hotel. The sports bar is a total bore. I was there last week and almost fell asleep during the Giant's playoff game.
I don't know what your scene is but the last place I would want to hang out in is a hotel. If you're looking for live entertainment, try:

They regularly showcase some of the country's top acts. Remember to bring your dancing shoes as well.
The discos here are not exactly like your discos in USA. You better know how to dance well and know how to speak spanish with confidence. if you lack either of the 2 skills, you will be disappointed. Oh and must know latin culture and know how to talk to girls. This will not be sosua where hookers grab you and pull you aside.

Had a great time last night at MiTaverna. The place was packed and it was beautiful to see the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS dismantle the "supposed" best team ever. Hahahahah!! LETS GO GIANTS!!!
