Iberostar Costa Dorada: walk to Plaza?

Hi. Could anyone tell me how long it takes to walk to the Playa Dorado Plaza from the new Iberostar hotel. Is it best/quickest to go along the beach or is there a more direct route? Thanks.

Its only a couple of Kms, Its much easier to take a taxi. As the
security on the beach wont let you cut through hotel grounds, to get to the plaza.

After 5 years of the Flamenco Beach Resort, we stayed at the Iberostar in Feb. 2000. Taxi the trip to the plaza, it is a fair, but taxing walk in the heat. I enjoyed the walk into town more than the plaza walks. The public transportation is right at the door for only 3 pesos per person.
This is a beatiful hotel, I hope you enjoy your holiday. We will return again in 5 months.

May I suggest: walk to Plaza

There is a public walkway from the beach to the plaza, between the Playa Naco Resort and the Dorado Club resort beach areas. It is a fair walk but a scenic one. Walk one way, have a cold drink at the plaza, and then taxi back with all the souvenirs you will buy.
