United will allow only 1 bag (23kg) for passengers who travel on discounted tickets. This rule will be effective starting May 5, 2008 for all domestic flights in USA, additional bag charge 25 USD.
I worked for Delta Airlines and so far right now, they are charging baggage that is over weight 50 will be charge with 50 dollars. Plastic Bags for small items before it was free but now it charge $3 dollars(JFK).
