Weather in September

Hi.

I am planning to return to Puerto Plata the first week of September and was wonderig if I should avoid going at that time of the year.

September was the month I first went to the DR a number of years ago. As I was heading West the warmer and drier it got. Puerto Plata is not as such my area however I have noticed passing by on a number of occasions there are more showers than in some other areas. I guess September is as fine as some other months... hoping the locies will wake up and help
