Good hotel in downtown POP

Hola amigos!

On my 3rd trip to the DR, I want in stay in POP, but NOT in an expensive tourist resort.

Can someone recommend some good hotels in (downtown) POP? I've visited the DR1 directory for POP and the area, but there must be more.
