We are planning on staying the Albatross Club Resort in Juan Dolio. The property description says that there is salt water coming out of the tap. Does that mean ocean water? How can you get your clean that way? Is this typical for the region?
Yes it is typical. They are still working on putting fresh water into Juan Dolio. The water from the tap is fine for bathing, washing dishes, cleaning teeth etc, but not for drinking. It does not come directly from the ocean but from the water table below the ground, and as we are so close to the Ocean it tends to be salty.
