any new updates on the progress ?
Sos?a-News is reporting a new disco to be opened on the ground floor of the casino. i know their new reporting is not always accurate so i thought i'd ask.

it has opened and is doing well I hear. The casino is also doing well. I think the playa chita Ha! Ha! will close in its wake.

Why is that good to hear?
that Playa Chiquita Casino will likely be run outta business, or that there is another puta place in Sosua? (if that's what it turns into) I'm not saying it will or it won't.
Just curious. Other's thoughts on this?
Is the new Sosua Bay Hotel Casino/Disco complex a positive or a negative for Sosua-town?
What will happen to their other disco, Club 59, or the other names it goes by? Are they competing with themselves? Is there room for more? What about Clasico Disco?
Also out of the loop? And Secrets?
I have questions but obviously no answers.

i have heard that the new disco is owned by the same guy who owns Club 59/Clasico. i hear it's doing great because once 59 and Sosua Life close everyone goes there. it opens at 1 AM. (it's called "After One" ;)) i'm sitting at my balcony and thinking should i go check it out tonight or not ;).

tflea, expansion and alternatives are good to hear. i for one was getting burned out of the current bars in sosua and i think it will make sosua a little more attractive to the local tourists and possibly to the dominicans who can afford to spend money on gamblinig. (i'm on the positive side here)
i also think the casino's location may be a good thing (walking distance for a few hotels) and possibly more business for the restaurants and bars on that end of pedro clisante. as you probably know. most of the night action is away from this area and the casino's opening is a jump start for this area. as far as the current disco's, i think one more disco will not bother them. the working girls will follow the money. if the casino and disco are a hit, they will be there also.
i've never been to playa chiquita (i'm usually in bed by then :laugh:) so someone else will have to chime in on which is better...
