AAAS is currently assisting all those families with pets who are moving from El Tablon to their new apartments. The new apartments are small with limited space but we are offering our assistance to help make the transition with pets as easy as possible.

We are offering transportation for dogs/cats to the new area, supplying as much of the possible equipment that is needed to help ensure the pet will stay in the new area.
All animals that we transport that cannot be sterilized now will receive a certificate for surgery, rabies vaccine and parasite treatment during our next operative.

You can help in the following ways:

Make a monetary donation for this specific project to help cover transportation costs and equipment for securing the pets.
Most of the animals will need to be confined/chained for a week or two so they will not return to the old area so we need lightweight metal chains.
Collars, new or used but functional.
Containers that could be used for food and water. Normally these animals roam the streets and find their own but we need to assist the owners with supplying them during their confinement therefore a need for bags of dog/ cat food.
Trucks and/or drivers to help transport the dogs/cats as needed.
We have been working in this area over the last month and although we have sterilized over 100 animals there are many that still need our attention.
It is our goal to assist with and move as many pets with their owners as we can.
This is happening now so we need your immediate help.
Please call me 809-571-1167 and leave a message or stop by with donations.
Share this message with others so we can reach as many people as possible.
Thank you all
Sincerely
Judy

AAAS is sponsoring a free dog wash and anti parasite treatment for all dogs moving into their new apartments in Villa Liberation, from El Tablon.
We are hoping that families will be enticed to bring their pet if they know it will be clean, free from parasites and will be given some supplies to make it easier to adjust to apartment life.
Most of these pets have roamed the Tablone their whole life and even if we transport them to the new location they may want to return to what they call "home".
So in addition to assisting with transportation we are going to offer our Services this Sunday at 9 AM at the new apartments.
We will be supplying after the baths, collars and leashes (as our supply lasts) bowls for food and water and a certificate for free sterilization and rabies vaccine. Educational material for the children will be available.
If you would like to help but can't join us please donate any of the following:
Money
Collars/Chains
Dog Shampoo
Bowls for food and water.
Refreshments for the volunteers
We will be returning next Sunday also and follow up with the moving progress.
Thanks so much for your help, please contact me as soon as possible or visit us to show your support at Villas Liberation on Sunday.
Sincerely

The help and donations received from DR1 members is much appreciated by AAAS and 'thank you all' (you know who you are). A further dog-wash session will take place this coming Sunday, 27th April as per Post 2 above. All treatment and 'freshening up' aimed to help assist with the re-location for the animals.
