Is it possible to pay employees comission for thier work?

I am going to start a business that the sales will be the strengh of the business. Is it possible to pay comissions to the sales staff, and also do I have to pay benefits as well as the taxes on top of the comissions in the D.R. Thank you for your comments.

Here in DR you have to pay a base salary even when they work on a comissions bases.
