OK all of you experts on the lingo - help me with this one......

Please give me answers that are both correct language wise AND get the meaning across of "I am beating myself up" ?

i.e giving myself an unneccessarily hard time without anyone else being involved....

I have tried and failed with this one - even if it is a Dominican phrase - let me have it..please

- and it has to be delivered with suitable melodrama.

You can also say: ?Me estoy golpeando con un muro!

That means you're hitting yourself with wall. ie: not involving other people. However, this meaning also implies that there is some kind of barrier.
