I hope you've already warned your husband about how COLD it gets there?

Tell him is not New York cold, it's like the North Pole.

Yes, but the people are much warmer, thus the temperature doesn't bother you. Look for Trina on DR1. She and her Dominican husband and 3 children live in Calgary. If you are in Drumheller you can look up my brother and his Cuban wife. Plenty of Latinos in Alberta.

Wow, I never thought I would ever see the word "Saskatchewan" on DR1. I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, although I have lived in the Caribbean for the last 23 years. I would find it hard to believe that a Dominican could live comfortably and happily in Saskatchewan, but you never know.........

I have met one Dominican from Puerto Plata, he works at the Dakota Dunes Casino in Saskatoon and live in Eastview. I cannot remember his first name but will watch for him and let you know if I see him anytime soon. I have dated a Dominican for 5 years and am moving there in October. I love the people and the country. Good luck to you and your new husband

It is not the weather that determines if you live happil or not. I know there will be an adjustment but people do survive here. We have heat .........LOL
